Peace of mind is something that is so precious to a man\u2019s existence. The ability to have a mind that is clear, free of anxiety, free of fear and just at rest. Peace of mind isn\u2019t something that\u2019s bought in a store, not something money can give you, fame won\u2019t give it to you either – it\u2019s a gift from God.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I can\u2019t remember the last time I felt peace. I\u2019ve felt deep pain day after day for weeks – in fact months – without end. This weekend I felt a feeling of peace. A feeling of the storm stilling, and the appearance of a rainbow. I\u2019m sat in Regent\u2019s Park right now, with a snotty nose (yes I started crying) thankful for everything. I\u2019m grateful for the storm. I\u2019m grateful for every single thing. Yes, I said I am grateful for the storm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A close friend once said to me \u201cHow can you truly appreciate peace when you\u2019ve never gone through a period of deep pain, storms and uncertainty?\u201d Today, as I sit on this bench and realise my mind is calm, I finally understand what she meant. The beautiful part is I actually haven\u2019t gotten a clear path forward ie I don\u2019t know what\u2019s next. Nevertheless, I feel peace. I feel at ease. It will work out.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Often times, when I feel peace about something, the devil and negative thoughts join forces to get me out of that state. Ironically, my devotional spoke to my soul this morning:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cIf I make a decision and believe it is right at the time I make it, I don\u2019t have to change my mind later just because I begin to think or feel I might have made a mistake. If God shows me I have made a mistake, I need to change my decision, but I don\u2019t have to bow down to every wild thought or feeling that I encounter. We have to live deeper than emotions. God\u2019s Word teaches us to pursue peace!\u201d<\/p>\r\nJoyce Meyer<\/cite><\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

God is beyond amazing. He clearly knew I would feel this way during my morning walk. I had taken certain steps of faith and felt peace about doing them. Thereafter the spirit of doubt crept in telling me I was bonkers. However, I deeply felt peace about all I was doing. He wants me to revel in the peace He gave me. He wants you to revel in the peace He gives you too. Don\u2019t allow fear or doubt or anxiety snatch it from you.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I\u2019m excited for the next few weeks. I continue to press on, and move expectantly towards the finish line. God it\u2019s been such a journey over the last 3 months. But I know it was all worth it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Rest in His peace and remember this scripture:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cDo not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\r\nPhilippians 4: 6 – 7 (NIV)<\/cite><\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
