The last week or so has been pretty rough. It’s been one where I’ve faced a crazy amount of doubt and disbelief for some of the promises God has laid on my heart. I now fully understand why St Paul said:
”For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”
I Corinthians 16:9 NKJV
It almost feels like at the door of a breakthrough or a new opportunity there’s a ridiculous amount of opposition and contention. It’s been a battle keeping my mind right and staying positive. One reason I haven’t lost my mind is due to the support I have from my friends and family.
Yesterday it dawned on me that as Jesus drew nearer to the place of his destiny i.e. all he had been preparing for, he began to feel the weight of his cross even more. As he got closer it appeared that he couldn’t do it alone and hence, Simon of Cyrene was compelled to help him carry his cross the remaining distance to Golgotha. It now made sense why I felt lower than normal and sought the help of my friends and family even more.
I’m sharing this to encourage someone who may be at the door of their next chapter and are feeling the heat. You are not alone. Surround yourself with people who love you. Hold on to every promise and prophecy God has given you for in due season they will surely come to pass.
Love always,
Tumi
